Our founder, Alice has always been completely tea-mad. During the early days of raising a young family while building Edgcumbes, her husband Chris, a trained tea taster, created this blend especially for her.
Each morning, he would add a spoonful to her cup to give her a boost to get going and “crack on” with the day ahead.
He called it Alice’s Wonderblend — a name that has stuck ever since, and a fond reminder of those busy, slightly mad, but very special days.
Today, Blend No.45 continues that tradition — a tea with character, depth, and just a little extra something when you need it most. We love it with Rusper or fellow award-winner Sussex Royal.
