Inspired by the Italian tradition of Caffè Sospeso, or “suspended coffee”, where one coffee is bought for yourself and another for someone else, it’s a simple idea with a lovely purpose: enjoy your coffee and, at the same time, help open the door for someone else, turning an everyday purchase into a quiet way of paying it forward.

Caffè Sospeso | Eastbourne College Blend is a smooth, balanced house blend supporting Eastbourne College's Blue Sky Bursaries appeal, which funds bursary places so more children can benefit from an Eastbourne education. The coffee itself is a medium roast sourced from Central & South America and Africa, grown at 1350–1890m, with berries, marzipan and chocolate coming through in the cup. Good as an espresso, but it holds up just as well slow brewed through a cafetière or filter. The name comes from the Italian tradition of Caffè Sospeso, or "suspended coffee" — buying one for someone who can't afford their own. Buying a bag here works the same way: it goes toward giving in the spirit of Blue Sky Bursaries, the cost of a cup of coffee adding up to something bigger.
